The Lead RBT implements behavior analytic programs written by the Assistant Supervisor (BCaBA), Clinical Supervisor (BCBA) and/or Center Director in order to teach communication, social, and other functional skills to clients. The Lead RBT provides direct care to all clients on their team by assisting in their daily routine to ensure their health, wellness, and happiness.
The Lead RBT provides direct care to all clients on their team by assisting in their daily routine to ensure their health, wellness, and happiness. The Lead RBT must continue to meet all criteria, competencies, and activities for RBT 1, 2, 3 and 4. Applicants for the Lead RBT role must have successfully completed the RBT Career Path to be considered eligible.
A Lead RBT may be asked to probe skills and protocols for new and current clients under the supervision of an Assistant Supervisor (BCaBA), Clinical Supervisor (BCBA) and/or Center Director. They may also open or close the center as needed, may work the front desk on a substitute basis, may sit in on and provide input after interviews, and may begin to work on a deeper understanding of operational metrics for the center.
