Position Summary: 

 

The Quality Assurance Specialist role will work to identify and remediate front-end operational errors to support the initiative of achieving a 100% clean claims target rate. You will support the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team and be responsible for performing and resolving quality assurance audits.

 

Hours: 40 hour schedule M-F within the hours of 9AM-5:00PM

Pay: $22 per hour

 

 

 

 

Responsibilities

Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Implementing quality assurance policies and procedures to reduce clearinghouse rejections and insurance claim denials for maximum reimbursement of revenue.
  • Identifying & resolving any errors found during the QA billing scrub in a timely manner.
  • Identifying and resolving workflow issues.
  • Ensuring that standards and requirements are observed.
  • Maintaining and developing internal support across the organization.
  • Attending department meetings/evaluations with meaningful and constructive feedback.
  • Participating in department meetings to maintain consistency within RCM department.
  • Helping the team improve performance with constant support.
  • Providing support and/or training at the center level as needed.
  • Contributing to the team culture in a positive manner.
  • Assisting with internal audits to ensure compliance with payor billing requirements.
  • Assisting with ad hoc projects related to various RCM Team functions & process improvements.
  • Problem-solving capabilities to create meaningful strategies to improve support quality.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

 

Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
