Position Summary:
The Lead Payroll Specialis works as a member of a highly functioning team and supports weekly payroll processing. The Lead Payroll Specialist serves as an escalation person for unique payroll cases. In addition, the Lead Payroll Specialist is responsible for audits and imports, data analysis, posting payroll to the HRIS WorkForceNow, payroll reconciliations, using critical thinking to manage ad hoc projects and requests, driving process improvements, and oversight of daily and weekly payroll tax administration.

Education/ Experience: Associate or bachelor’s degree from a college or university: or 3 to 4 years of related experience. Ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment. Experience processing multi-state payroll is preferred.
Language Ability: Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of clients or employees.
Mathematical Ability: Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Compute rate, ratio and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills: Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Chrome, Internet Explorer).

Travel Requirements: Traveling as needed within region/territory. Have reliable means of transportation. Meet requirements of our Motor Vehicle policy.
